* thought experiments lain

This site is a straightforward collection of extremely thorough analysis of almost every aspect of Lain. It includes dozens of explanations of obscure references and allusions, and even links to other sites with information on a given reference. Required reading for the Lain junky.

gensou

Features a weird multi-window, sound equipped design, but apparently contains a selection of Lain goodies, if you can get around it.

My lonely shadow - my dear masayuki

Remember Masayuki? The lethargic-looking kid at the table in Cyberia? This shrine to that very fellow includes absolutely EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about him. Frighteningly obsessive, and if you happen to be into him, incredibly cool. It even has an unusual minimalist design, but I was confused by the list-based navigation at first, since the "get my navigation" selector displays as black-on-black on some browsers.

Savior Lain

A good all around site for both Lain fans and those just interested in the series; it features an image gallery of screencaps, fanart, and some character introductions. Plus, the site's easy to get around and features a simple but appropriately Lain-evocative design.

The Wired: Serial Experements Lain

Very small site with a confusingly labeled menu, but it does look Lain-like, and in addition to character intros and links, you'll find the full intro song(!) as background music on the index page if you're willing to wait.
