#anime DALnet's user maintained reviews, trivia and more |
Another extremely useful review source; covers a huge list of titles with generally brief commentary on each, but distinguishes itself by summarizing and linking to reviews at several other sites. |
It doesn't look gorgeous, but this site is basically THE source for current release info. If it's on DVD, anywhere in the world, you'll find reviews of the anime, the disc, and more here, as well as lots of other useful information, news, and things to participate in. |

* Cryptochrome's Hotline Anime Reviews A site focused on giving some info (focusing on general themes and specifics on what's available) about the many anime titles you can download from file sharing services. Clean, speedy layout and lots of useful info. |
A simple but clean (and fast loading) list of reviews by members of a Sci-fi/fantasy/anime club. There are hundreds of short reviews, along with a brief plot synopsis and notes on the age appropriateness of each title. Worth a look for a quick opinion on a title you're interested in. |
|
* The Anime Cafe Parent's Guide to Anime A large collection of reviews specifically geared to the parent trying to decide what anime is proper for viewing by their children. There are detailed reviews of almost every anime in existence. But keep in mind, the reviews are meant for parents and mostly deal with the appropriateness of the anime series for children. The rest of the site also has much general information on anime. |
An aptly named (and very nice) review site with a lot to read. The design is very simple but clean and quite nice, and there are many reviews of both anime and manga, most of them in depth and many with a few illustrations. Definitely worth checking out if you're searching for opinions, and there are a few extra goodies to be had, as well. |
(Yes, I'm biased.) This is a worthwhile site with reviews, mostly in-depth, of a wide variety of mostly US-released anime. Also includes a small selection of other stuff, as well as forums and this link database. |
The rebirth of a formerly extensive review and info resource, it is still getting back on its feet, but already includes a clean design with a selection of shorter reviews and several large Sailor Moon fanfics, with more extensive review content promised for the future. |
An extremely useful site if you want to quickly find out what the general consensus on a particular anime is thanks to the fact that nearly all the anime have multiple reviews submitted (due to the site having an open review policy) |
Good reviews of lots of anime titles, many also including images or interesting stuff to download. Also a selection of fanfics, cross-linked info on anime creators, and forums. |
Solidly constructed framework, with a growing collection of reviews (done for each DVD) and some other information on anime and manga. |
Current news, a varied collection of DVD reviews, and some other fun stuff--commentary, forums, galleries, and more. |
Clean and attractive (if a bit cramped) look on this site; the meat consists of several reviews and more thorough coverage (image galleries, episode guides, etc) of a few series, plus fanart, stuff to download, and more. |
A longtime Christian and fan of anime, I understand how the two can sometimes clash. This site is to give fair, balanced anime reviews from a Christian perspective, so that prospective fans and parents of fans can be properly informed. |
New Anime and Manga related website featuring news and reviews from various sources |
A young site with an as-yet small number of high-quality reviews, this site is regularly updated and also includes release dates for the UK and occasional special features. |
A great site for reviews, series overviews, pics, links, and more! We're currently accepting reviews! |
|
komik jepun (English/Malaysian?) Small site with introductions to and reviews of several manga series, mostly in English. |
A simple but nice personal site with short blurbs on a bunch of recommended anime shows (including many not available in the US), CD recommendations, and a long essay on Evangelion. In both Japanese and English. |
|
Uncle Ro's Manga Pagina (Dutch) In Dutch. Nice little site with a collection of reviews, anime info, links, and some stuff on Japanese writing. |
